In March, I made a two day trip to Nikko, which is about two hours north of Tokyo. The small town, forested mountains, and silence feel completely different than the city.
The first day I spent at lake Chuzenji.
I went to see the Italian Embassy House, designed by Antonin Raymond, a Czech architect who practiced in Japan in the early 1900s.
The interior details were really cool!
The house was right on the water and had a deck to the water.
Lunch had a nice view:
And then I went on a hike to see some waterfalls:
